How to choose the right storage unit size
5x5 and 5x10. Locker-to-closet sized. A 5x5 holds a few boxes, seasonal gear, or a dorm's worth of belongings; a 5x10 takes the contents of a studio or a couple of large furniture pieces.
10x10 and 10x15. The most-rented sizes. A 10x10 fits a one to two bedroom apartment; a 10x15 adds room for appliances, a couch, and boxes from a larger apartment or small house.
10x20 and 10x30. Garage-sized. A 10x20 holds a multi-bedroom home or a car; a 10x30 is the largest common size, fitting a full house move or vehicle plus household goods.
