In line with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines (16 CFR Part 255), StorageAtlas discloses the financial relationships behind the site. StorageAtlas is free for renters, and the ways we earn revenue are described below.

Facility referrals

We may be paid by a storage facility when a renter we introduce goes on to rent a unit from them. That is settled after the fact.

Some facilities we work with directly. Those are labelled Trusted on their listing and shown before the rest on their city page. Nothing is bought: the arrangement is the same commission described above, paid only if a renter actually rents, and the label is there so you can see why that listing is first. Where such a facility also holds a discount for renters who come through us, the listing says so, and the discount is yours.

A facility can pay to have its listing labelled Sponsored. That buys the label and nothing else: a sponsored listing is not moved up the results, and it never changes a price, a rating or a badge. Where a listing is sponsored, the word Sponsored appears on the listing itself.

Some links on the site, such as moving and packing supplies, are affiliate links, including through the Amazon Associates program and other partners. If you buy through one of these links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Our independence

The facility information we show, including prices, unit sizes, and amenities, is compiled from publicly available sources. Compensation does not change those underlying facts. Our goal is to help you compare options accurately, regardless of who pays us.

No cost to you

Using StorageAtlas and clicking our links is always free for renters. You never pay more because of an affiliate or referral arrangement.
